Scott has 30 years’ experience in consulting, start-ups, SMBs and executive roles in multi-national corporations. Currently consulting to small and medium sized businesses Scott’s experience has been gained through a diverse range of roles in Australia and internationally. Over 18-years, his role as Managing Director for Colgate Palmolive included managing a major divestment and establishing clear strategies for the business, brands, sales, and customer coverage.

Following this, Scott founded FIVE AM Yoghurt, launching the business into the Australian marketplace from start-up to market leader. Early success included negotiating and winning trading terms with major supermarket retailer, Woolworths. After this, he was brought into SPOS and iCandy Creative as General Manager to effect change in an underperforming business, including restructuring the business, processes, designing core business strategy and leading strategy implementation. The company is now trading and operating profitably after three prior years of losses.

Scott's experience with SMBs

Scott manages the Victorian region for Strategic Specialists Group, providing service to SMBs seeking business support to achieve net profit, and sustainable growth. Scott drives new business and manages consultants as well as provides service to SMBs, including Denbie and AFLO Equipment.

Through Scott’s diverse business experience, from being involved in all stages of business, he understands first-hand the issues businesses are facing. From running his own business to consulting to SMBs across Australia, Scott has seen the effects of an unstable economic climate on FMCG businesses and SMBs in multiple industry sectors. He has experienced the difficulty implementing change in a corporate environment to suit the fast-paced changing needs of the customer, coupled with high production costs and low-income margins. As a result, when businesses are often at a loss as to how to get a competitive edge and stay relevant in the changing market, Scott knows how the service of a tier one specialist can help SMBs achieve their business and growth objectives.
