Phil assists companies in a number of capacities to expand their businesses domestically and offshore. He spent the first 20 years of his career working with IBM and Microsoft in various management positions in Australia and in Asia. The last 20 years has been spent investing, mentoring and managing new ventures in the UK, Asia Pacific, Australia and North America.

He has been an advisor for the Australian Government for commercialization and the R&D Tax programs, a CEO of a boutique Bio-venture fund (National Health Sciences Centre), General Manager of a publishing company (Medical Journal of Australia), a director of a software company, sales director of a telecommunications company and chair of an ophthalmic hospital. Phil has been an international partner for UCLA’s Global Access Program for 10 years and has a network of investors in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. Based in Sydney, Phil has a business network throughout Australia, Pacific Rim and the UK.

Phil's experience with SMBs

As an IBM assignee to SingaLab, Phil worked with a joint venture technology incubator based in Singapore investing and developing emerging technologies from Singapore universities. Phil was also the Marketing and Sales Director of TransACT, a regional telco which provided broadband, cable TV and telephone services.

Phil has been an advisor to many companies admitted to the COMET and Commercialisation Australia programs from 2007 – 2011. He has been involved in funding raises and commercial development of over 30 companies. Phil is also a partner to the Global Access Program, Anderson Business School (UCLA) in Los Angeles. Assisting over 50 companies with market entry strategies into North America and Asia since 2007.
