Chris has over 25 years’ experience working in corporations, SMBs and Not-for-Profits in Australia and internationally. Expertise has been gained through senior executive roles for corporations in the UK and USA as well as being an SMB owner, building and selling successful businesses. Most recently, Chris was Director at Proviso, a FinTech start up based in Adelaide that grew to employ 20 staff, servicing more than 250 business customers throughout ANZ before successful exit strategy and sale to Dunn and Bradstreet in 2018.

Chris is a Non-Executive Director and experienced in Board Advisory. Currently, President of the Childhood Cancer Association, and Advisory to a winery in the McLaren Vale district and a manufacturer based in Plympton, SA


Chris's experience with SMBs

Chris’s experience with SMBs is extensive, from Board Advisory and governance to tactical implementation of sales and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives. Most recently, Chris has worked in an advisory capacity to two wineries in the McLaren Vale district of South Australia including one as a large wine exporter to Asia. Expertise ranges from supporting businesses within the geo-political context as well as challenges as a producer of grapes and a purchaser of grapes from other SMBs in the district for inclusion into production, wholesaling, exporting, and distribution. Prior to this, Chris has also worked with one of the largest manufacturers of premium toiletries in Australia as wells as importers and distributors of toiletries and cosmetics. From his current roles and past-experience, Chris has an excellent understanding of the challenges faced by small-to-medium businesses as well as the challenges of importing and exporting.
